Domestic and Import Axle Overhaul
Complete tear down of the axle assembly, cleaning of all internal components, inspecting all components for wear or damage, install new bearings, seals, gear set, axle shafts, carrier assembly, and any other components in need of replacement.
Posi-traction Overhaul
Teardown of the posi-traction unit, clean and inspect all internal components, install new clutch disks, set clutch preload and clutch pack arrangement if necessary.
Axle Bearing Replacement
Press off damaged axle bearings and seals, clean components, press new bearings on. We have the ability to replace any axle bearings on import or domestic axle shafts to include Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Jeep, Ford, etc.
Gear Oil Change
Remove differential cover, clean cover and spray out differential, reseal and fill with new gear oil and limited slip additive if applicable. If a drain plug exits we can perform simple drain and fills as well.
General Press Work
Front or rear hub bearings, suspension components, OE or aftermarket bushing install, stuck cv shafts, or anything else a press can handle.
Steering Services and Upgrades
Installation of OE or aftermarket control arms, trailing arms, sway bars, shocks, and struts. OE or aftermarket steering boxes, tie rods, drag links, and any other steering components in need or repair or replacement.
Brake Services and Upgrades
From simple pad and rotor replacement, drilled and slotted rotors, drum brake repair, rear disk brake conversions, to aftermarket brake kits like Wilwood or Baer, we can handle just about any brake system.
Cut and Narrow Axle Housings
Tear down and clean axle housing. Cut and narrow housing to specified measurements. On most applications we can use the original housing ends, or we can change the ends to accommodate different axle and brake designs. We can convert c-clip axles to bolt on axles and also use disk brake kits that may not be available for the factory housing. Custom shafts can be ordered to fit the new dimensions of the axle housing and stud pattern desired.
Media Blasting and Powder Coating
This is a service for bench jobs only. While the axle is torn down we can have the housing and other axle components sent out for media blasting. We can leave components in bear steel or aluminum or paint them your desired color (spray paint), or send them out for powder coating. All components are inspected after media blasting to ensure the best possible outcome.
Gear Ratio Changes
Just about any differential has multiple ratios available. If you desire to change ratios to improve drive ability, performance, or towing we can calculate what ratios are ideal for your specific application and how they will affect the vehicle. If you have increased your tire size, changed transmission types, built a street truck or hotrod, or simply want to increase towing performance for trucks, off the line performance, or increase top speed, a ratio change may be something to consider.
Posi-Traction/Locker Install
We can install simple clutch style posi-traction units, helical limited slips, 1, 1.5, or 2 way limited slip units, lunch box lockers, full size mechanical lockers, mini spools, full spools, air and electric selectable lockers. Most of these units don’t require any additional labor to install. The air and electric lockers will require additional labor to install as they require hosing modifications. We can also plump and wire the air compressor and/or switches for the selectable lockers if you desire.
